If you like Galactic Civilizations you will probably like Sins of a Solar Empire. It combines 4X depth with real-time gameplay. It's unlike any RTS you've probably ever played before. It's not about how fast you click, it's about your strategy.

Check out this gameplay example to see what it's like.

Very interresting gameplay summary, the amount of things that can happen in such a particular game setting is quite rich. Only a few hours to go and I will be playing this game first hand, can't wait!!!

Looks very interesting....but...I will have to try the demo first before I decide to purchase it.

Wow, looks like tons of fun. I hope you can incorporate some of that gameplay into Gal Civ III.

And I very much hope you don't. Keep turn based games turn based and leave the real time stuff to the real time games, please. That's not to knock either genre, mind you.

I disagree, Sins is not your traditional Warcraft.

At the very least I think they should consider incorporating the beautiful and sleek engine to the battles themselves.

So far only complaint is I CANNOT figure out quests...3 player map 2 guys give me quests. No matter what I do there is always a scout of either faction that pokes around my territory...gets blasted...and I lose the rep. Let alone the likelyhood one of them has an small armada in my territory.

I mean I picked a guy to ally with, avoided all his ships as they bee-lined for my homeworld and went after the quest he gave me. Finished them, got rep, and sure enough a scout passed by my guns where I was defending against the other player...got smashed and lost all rep I gained.

But so otherwise it's great, but even small games can be a a soft slug gruelfest...need a break lol.

I only wish they had made pirates optional or at least let us control the frequency...

No... just... no.

???

No regarding to what, exactly? Meh, you're just posting for the sake of posting.

Oh, well.

Add me to the list of people not wanting to see the GalCiv series incorporate any gameplay elements from Sins.

Keep turn-based games turn-based! That applies to tactical battles too!

I was referring to the multiplayer aspects and tactical fleet battles. I definitely like Gal Civ turn based.

This.

Usually when someone says no to a post on the internet its to whatever suggestion was made, rather than the statements they made.

The game just made to all major torrent sites ...

And it seems like final version , at least people played beta 3 say its bigger and different.

Since StarDock did not bothered to make a Demo chances are that I will have to d/l this one before I decide to buy it or not.
